Join Lynette Fay in conversation with Dr Úna Monaghan (Úna Monaghan Music), the author of the paper "121 Stories: the impact of gender on participation in Irish traditional music".
Úna is a Belfast-based musician, composer, academic and sound engineer. In 2021, Dr Monaghan's research paper was published in the journal Ethnomusicology Ireland and it details experiences of sexism in Irish traditional music. The study received ethical approval from Cambridge University faculty of music ethics committee and we ask you to join the discussion, sign up now and have your say.
