In 39 years the Cockroach Races have evolved from a small gathering of punters outside the hotel with a handful of roaches, to a massive Australia Day Festival that takes over the whole side street, and requires 300 roaches...yes, 300!!
All roach sales on the day will be donated to Youngcare and QLD Fire and Drought through GIVIT. So, why not join in on the Australia Day tradition?
