When you hear a very loud siren today at 12.00 noon, then don't be alarmed - we are NOT at war or something like that.
It is the annual nationwide test of the emergency sirens that will take place.
The sirens will sound 3 times; the first two signaling danger and the last one signaling that the danger has subsided.
However - If you hear the sirens at any other time than the testing time (which is always the first Wednesday in May at noon) you should go inside, close all doors, windows and ventilation systems. Then turn on DR or TV2's radio, TV, websites or social media, as they will pass on information from authorities.
Do not call emergency services to inquire about the reason for the sirens as that may block actual emergency calls 📢
