Finding Phonox's next Saturday night resident was never going to be an easy task. As with HAAi- and Jasper James, we wanted to find someone with an emerging-profile in dance music, but who was accomplished and skilled enough to hold the Phonox dance floor week in, week out.
Following months of discussion and scouting, we unanimously decided on South African DJ and producer, Esa. Aside from his unquestioned ability as a DJ, we were drawn to Esa's rich and compelling musical story which we'll be presenting in a series of short films in the run up to his residency.
