This past Sunday over 15 community members showed up at Warehouse on Watts to help pack compassion bags full of sandwiches and snacks and hygiene products and other necessities to hand out to our friends on the streets.

We made well over 200 bags and were able to distribute a majority of them, along with over 50 blankets and 50 jackets and hoodies, as well as gloves and hats and make some really great connections with our friends in Kensington.

Watching part of my advisory team and volunteers we know and volunteers show up who never even contacted me before, but saw the videos and came to support and donate goods and time, made me realize how fortunate I am for the support from all of you.

I was able to drop off 30 compassion bags to my friends Kathryn Pannepacker and Lisa Kelley and Michael Worthy and Thomas Franks at the Mural Arts Philadelphia Kensington Store Front today as well.

Thanks to Juju Kline , Loree Laury Jarvis and Jan Hahn for dropping donations off at my Mom’s on Saturday so that we could share them with those in need.

Thank you to Kevin J Wilson for the thousands of chapsticks you donated. They will come in handy winter and summer. Thanks for your support.

Also, thanks to Mark Offner for your continued support and bringing more donations that fill the car. In addition, Mark had a friend donate size 15 sneakers to the project when he found out we needed them!

We are heading back out this Sunday, December 23 for our Christmas Holiday Outreach and welcome anyone to join us!

This community rocks and my support system is amazing. Thank you all for being you and believing in the mission of the project.

Much love to you all! -- Britt James Carpenter PhillyUnknown
