A night in concert with Otis Mensah - alternative hip-hop artist and Sheffield's first Poet Laureate.

As a hip-hop artist, Mensah has performed extensively across the UK, including at the BBC Music Introducing Stage at Glastonbury Festival. He has appeared as a supporting artist for The Sugarhill Gang, Mahalia, Arrested Development, and Wu-Tang Clan's Killa Priest.

Since his appointment as Sheffield's first Poet Laureate by Lord Mayor Magid Magid, the emerging hip-hop star has achieved ever-growing recognition across the UK for his contribution to the arts and culture. Mensah's lyrics and poetry dexterously handle themes including nostalgia, loneliness, and existential angst.

This night will see him launch his first book of poetry, along with an exclusive live performance of his new material.
