Ella Signoretti (Carerra) and Valerie Tavares met in 2017 and without hesitation quickly established a musical partnership. Both of them had been growing and developing their skills as DJs separately as individual artists beforehand. Prior to them pairing up, Valerie Tavares had made a career switch from elementary school teacher to DJ, and built herself up quickly in just two years working closely with Bellosound and partnering with Jagermeister Canada. Ella Carerra began spinning at the age of 17, and secured her first residency while studying in university with ARIA inc. at 18, and held it for 3 years playing venues internationally. Together they have played at various venues in Toronto including Parlour, One Loft, and after-hours club Vertigo.Their first debut was in August of 2017 and in just four short months established themselves in Toronto's music scene opening for the likes of artists such as Audiofly and holding their own room alongside Swayzak. Additionally before years end the duo released an exclusive mix on local hometown grown label For The People and will be opening for Art Imitating Life/Bedrocks' Eagles & Butterflies.
