Rythmes groovy, phrasé soul hip hop, ambiances trip hop, accents d'Afrique dans le chant, Mary* est ce mélange délicieusement épicé, à la fois étonnant et détonant !
Musicienne impulsive qui sait mêler son instinct à sa sensualité, c'est dans la langue de Molière que cette fille léonine choisit de donner corps à ses chansons.
Dans sa bouche un français percutant et des mots qui font mouche ; une rythmique impeccable et des textes qui touchent. Mary* sort des cadres, emprunte de nouveaux sentiers… et apporte un souffle nouveau et personnel à la chanson française.
Avec elle sur la scène, une guitare, un sampler : sa fidèle « boîte magique » qui fait s'entrecroiser des lignes mélodiques aux subtiles harmonies.
Mary* est animale : elle gratte, elle tape, elle pince ; elle chante, rappe et beatboxe. Rêveuse dans ses ballades, sa voix sait se faire sûre, elle coule et elle rassure comme une source tranquille. Mais quand Mary* lance son flow, hors d'elle c'est un torrent d'énergie qui jaillit.
À côté de son nom une étoile accolée, alliée inséparable, incrustée dans son ciel comme un porte-bonheur. Astérisque – talisman ( Péril si tu l'oublies ! ) qui scintille de toute sa force et de toute sa pudeur.

Mary* a eu l’occasion d’être invitée en première partie d'artistes tels que Alexis HK, La Rue Ketanou, Tété, Amadou & Mariam, Les Ogres de Barback, Pauline Croze, Fred, Rose, Vincent Delerm, Camille Bazbaz, Victoria Tibblin, Camélia Jordana, Elvis Perkins, Martins Taylor & Steve Howle, Olivia Ruiz, Féfé, Christophe Maé, Brigitte...
En 2011, elle remporte le tremplin Pic d'Or (Tarbes), et est élue Talent Acoustic (TV5Monde). Ce titre lui permettra notamment de jouer son titre à l'Olympia dans le cadre du festival Generation Reservoir le 8 mars 2012, et de voir son titre diffusé par le réseau Francophonie Diffusion vers les radios du monde.

Chanson Acoustico Groovy Samplée ( Accoustic/Groovy Sampled Song)
She underlines with mischief that destiny has thrown her alone on stage the day one of her musicians didn’t show up 5 minutes before the beginning of a show, and for the best. Since then Mary* sings and plays guitar alone, flanked by a new band member, judged more reliable, named Sampler.
Of this new companionship, she forged her style, animal, hand to hand with her guitar, she scratches, hits, pinches, and even sings inside her instrument, invites the beat box and then comes a jubilant joust versus the machine.
Before all, Mary* is a musician, implusive, sensual, at the antipodes of text songs; here, the inflection, the sound of the words through her voice come to serve the music, a soul phrasing, groovy rhythmics, a singing with afro hip hop accents, trip hop atmospheres, in the sills of Pauline Croze, Tété, for whom she performs concert openings, or those from Camille.
Like a lucky charm linked to her name, Mary* coupled her name with a star (And no stars for those who forget), probably to better break through the reserve that characterizes her.
This first eponym album looks like her, spontaneous, urban, alive, fresh, and some pearls like « il me tarde », « A l'encre noire » with the complicity of rap artist 10Vers from Toulouse, or the “Africanising” « Restes de toi » are fully worth lingering over.
