Jamie Starkey - The State Of The Natural World and how we can all make a difference
Jamie Quince-Starkey is a nature enthusiast and has been involved in creating change in an accessible way for the average Joe. Three years ago Jamie developed an idea from the back garden after growing his own food. That idea was the the down to earth project. A project that's focus was reconnecting people with nature, community and themselves as ultimately we are all part of the natural world that surrounds us. Simply put the down to earth project sees this disconnection with nature as the main issue we face as a species. Jamie has been on a journey of reconnecting with nature and in doing so has created various community projects from setting and organising community allotments, to organising rambles in the Peak District.
Reconnecting people with the soil and with the beauty of mother nature. Jamie has created a documentary film about his journey and has also given talks on his experiences and why he believes reconnecting with nature is of the upmost importance. In this talk Jamie will explain what lead him to create the down to earth project, the current situation we find ourselves in environmentally, whilst also offering his own ideas, thoughts and opinions on how we can all make a positive impact to the world we live in. This talk is about being solution based instead of being overwhelmed with all the doom and gloom we constantly see. They'll be time at the end of the talk for a Q&A To see more of The Down to Earth Project check their socials out at. Instagram -
