Nick Peacock has been around the Glasgow club scene for a long time. His involvement with bands like Joseph K, (he made a video for them whilst still in college) and his association with Sub Club made him a know face around town.

With the opening of the Sub Club by Grahame Wilson, Nick was given his first chance to DJ. ‘I could play the records I wanted. I was also working in Virgin Records, so I was picking up some really good tunes. The first record I ever played was the Otis Reading version of Papa’s Got A Brand New Bag. I was a total bag of nerves! It was great to see people dancing to something you were playing. From then on I play what I wanted.’

Here's Nick in conversation with Rebecca Vasmant talking about playing jazz records in the Sub Club (when it was Jamaica Inn)

Tonight from 7.30PM we bring jazz back to 22 Jamaica Street
