Fucking ordinary start to an otherwise glorious afternoon at the Maitland dishlickers. Quincy had an Ayrton Senna on Speedway Chick for no other reason than nostalgia for the long dead Motordrome. Magpie plonked a Stuart Diver on Diver’s Session because he was channeling a bit of something from Stuart Diver. Doddsy had an Ayrton on Audrey’s Mate in tribute to his darling daughter Audrey because that’s what mug daddy punters do. The physical superiority of the seven dog, Cannonball, stuck out like dog’s balls in the parade yard. What do you know, Speedway Chick, Audrey’s Mate and Diver’s Session were lucky to beat home the three dog, Ineka’s Charm, which said fuck this at the top of the straight and failed to finish. Cannonball won with a leg in the air. Anyway, we’ll trust our gut from now on when we see a dog with gorgeous legs and twitching cods. Onwards and upwards. The Gooch is here now.
