Sam Slater and Liam Byrne, two artists recently released on the Icelandic label Bedroom Community, both make beautiful music from string instruments but do so in very different ways.
Liam plays the viola da gamba, a 17th-century instrument crossed between a guitar and cello, and uses electronics to create rich, multilayered textures in compositions.
Sam, on the other hand, makes unearthly and emotionally striking electronic music through the metamorphosis of single string samples taken from a Rajasthani traditional instrument.
This show combines material from both artists' new albums with fresh new collaborations between the pair.
