249 Choreographic Failures’, inspired by #berblinger2020 created by ‘ChoreoLab - Made in Ulm’.

The #international open call received 45 applications (17 male and 28 female) from 24 countries. #berblinger2020 inspired #dancemakers from around the world to submit a 60 second dance film reflecting a ‘#choreographic #failure’. On the 19th of May 2020 the Jury of Karla Nierad, Reiner Feistel, Tommi Brem and Michael Mutschler selected 10 finalists and three winners, @ainalanas, @pablo_pah2, @loubetteaxel. They will work with Ulm based choreographer @PabloSansalvador and each will create a 15 minute work for an evening of dance titled '249 Choreographic Failures’. #Openrehearsal on the 24.07, 31.07, 07.08 and 14.08 at 17-18hr, #performance on the 21, 22, 23 August 2020 at 19hrs at @roxy.ulm.

This #residency supports #international #dance #makers to #create #newwork. The four works produced at #choreolab #madeinulm for #berblinger2020 will go onto be ambassadors for the city of #Ulm in the dance industry. Our aim is to put #Ulm on the map as a city that nurtures and cultivates international dance makers and artists to be create and perform works inspired by the city. The residency initiates and cultivates an open conversation between dance makers, artists, dance lovers and the public. This allows more understanding and insight of dance, allowing us to strengthen the social fabric through art and international cultural exchange. ⁠
