The people of Puerto Rico not only have set an example for all of us with their burgeoning revolution, but have also birthed a new reality. We have no doubt that with the resignation of Ricardo Roselló, they will continue to amplify their demands as they move forward to create the sovereign nation it so very much deserves after having endured 500+ years of colonization. CCCADI stands in unconditional solidarity with our sisters and brothers in Puerto Rico, and we invite you to celebrate their victory and lucha with us this Sunday, July 28th at our Lincoln Center Out of Doors concert, Lincoln Center. Featuring performances by Moncho Rivera con Carlito Padron y Su Banda, Cita Rodriguez y Su Banda, and the Bombazo Dance Company. This evening honors Puerto Rican musical icons, Tite Curet Alonso, Ismael Rivera, and Pete "El Conde" Rodríguez for highlighting the cultural contributions and struggles of worldwide African descendants. Bring your Puerto Rican flags, pots and pans, signs and orgullo Boricua! Let's celebrate and honor this new chapter in the history of Puerto Rico! ¡Lxs esperamos familia!
